DIY: Cape

At last! I finally finished my cape that I so badly wanted to make! I actually finished it last week on Wednesday, but I didn't have the time to take pictures of it until today! So here it is, I managed to pull it off. I can't wait to actually wear it! lol It's still sunny here Southern California, feels a bit like summer still.

I did come across a few technical difficulties during the making of this cape. A lot of times I improvised, and worked with what I had. For instance, I had no pattern making paper so I used some old Christmas wrapping paper I had in a dusty storage closet. Nevertheless, I'm very happy with the outcome of my cape. I wouldn't mind making another one just to perfect the skill and construction of it. By the way, if you're into pattern making and would like to make something like this yourself, contact me so that I can give you details on the book i used to learn how make this cape.

Now that I finished this project I will move on to other ones I've had in mind. After I'm done with those I will surely post on them. Hope you guys have a wonderful day today! :)

♥Daisy

I also leave you with this song by Jarabe de Palo titled "No te Duermas". It's in Spanish, but it's such a cute song! My boyfriend recently got me into it. :)

  7. OMG, are you serious? Did you made that from scratch for the first time? Buttons and all? It's amazing! I'm a fashion student myself but haven't learn the pattern for the cape yet, I am so excited, can't wait to do one myself. I merely made some skirts and the most challenging was a blazer. Good job!! :D
