Hi lovelies! I'm surprised that I actually had time to post something new! Since I'm back in school now, I've been a bit busier. Anywho, I checked out the collections from Paris Fashion Week today on style.com. I really liked this collection from Carven Spring 2011. Hope you guys like it too! I really can't wait to see the collections, from Balmain, Chanel, Lanvin and others from PFW! Have a nice one lovelies! :)

DIY: Cape

At last! I finally finished my cape that I so badly wanted to make! I actually finished it last week on Wednesday, but I didn't have the time to take pictures of it until today! So here it is, I managed to pull it off. I can't wait to actually wear it! lol It's still sunny here Southern California, feels a bit like summer still.

I did come across a few technical difficulties during the making of this cape. A lot of times I improvised, and worked with what I had. For instance, I had no pattern making paper so I used some old Christmas wrapping paper I had in a dusty storage closet. Nevertheless, I'm very happy with the outcome of my cape. I wouldn't mind making another one just to perfect the skill and construction of it. By the way, if you're into pattern making and would like to make something like this yourself, contact me so that I can give you details on the book i used to learn how make this cape.

Now that I finished this project I will move on to other ones I've had in mind. After I'm done with those I will surely post on them. Hope you guys have a wonderful day today! :)

I also leave you with this song by Jarabe de Palo titled "No te Duermas". It's in Spanish, but it's such a cute song! My boyfriend recently got me into it. :)

Marchesa

Images from style.com
Exquisite, amazing, gorgeous...simply breathtaking! When I saw these dresses from Marchesa 2011 RTW I was baffled. Aren't these gorgeous? They're so intricately sculpted and draped. The craftsmanship is just WOW, the talent of genius minds and hands is evident in these gowns. There were a lot of other beautiful pieces, but these had to be my favorites.

So far I've tried to check out as many collections as I can from other designers. My folder in my computer is full of pictures from NYFW collections. I've liked a lot of them, from Jason Wu, Rodarte, Rebecca Taylor, and just a bunch more. I can't wait for London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks to come! I'm really looking forward to seeing much more amazing talent.

Dotty

I am loving this blouse, isn't it perfect!? Ugh...the only problem is that it's only sold in Sweden at a store called Modekungen. :( The price is 549 sek which is about 75 usd. Sad sad sad...I was thinking though, that I should probably try to make something similar to this...I hope I can pull it off! But this wont be until I'm finished with my cape. And that is exactly what I'm going to do right now, I'm gonna get started on it! Have a good one! :)

Items of the moment

Skirts: F21, Corsets: Topshop, Knit Sweater: Topshop, Cardigan: American Eagle Outfitters, Brown Bag: Target, Brown Back pack: Topshop, Ankle Wedges: Aldo, Necklace: Urban Outfitters

Hello lovely ones! First of all I just want to say that I am so happy that I have a bit more followers now. It's a few, but I couldn't be happier! :D Wow I haven't posted since last week. I was pretty busy this weekend, but it was great! I saw my boyfriend's band play on Friday, saw my brother's band play on Sunday, spent time with my boyfriend's family on Saturday, and yesterday I spent time with my family. We made some carne asada and then we played a couple games of Loteria (basically Mexican bingo). It sucked because I lost most of my money. :| But it was fun! Hope you guys had a great weekend also!

Switching topics here, on Saturday I went to H&M to look for the ankle wedges that I posted in the previous post, but I don't know...I changed my mind. I like these from Aldo better, I felt like the H&M ones looked a little plainish. The lacing on these make them much better for me. I also have my eye on the pleather black skirt (first image) from forever 21, its perfect!

I also wanted to let you know that I'm still working on my cape. There were some technical difficulties with the delivery of my french curve ruler to make my patterns, but I finished the patterns already and cut the fabric. I should be ready to start on the sewing. I'm hoping it wont take me long since its my first cape ever! lol I'm also thinking about making a corset sort of similar to the green floral one from top shop I posted above. So stay tuned ;)

Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed!

Lanvin and H&M

"I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public."
-Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin

Today I heard that Lanvin and H&M are doing a collaboration. How awesome is that? The womens and mens collection will debut on November 2, but will go on sale until November 23. There will be about 200 H&M stores who will be carrying this collection. So you might want to stay tuned for that!

I also checked the website and saw these items that are now in stores! I really want to get my hands on these!

By the way, the wedges below are from Forever 21 which would you prefer the H&M ones or the F21?
